I'm looking into cutting down my plastic waste, I already use reusable nappies and going to get some wipes when I can afford it.
What brands do people recommend for things like bars of shampoo and conditioner, soaps, etc?
I'm a total novice so any suggestions for other ways to cut down waste much appreciated!

i recently switched brands to this link one on etsy. i get the pink coconut shampoo bar, and this body soap. they don't sell conditioner bars, so i get them from here. if you are looking to cut down in other areas, look at getting a bamboo toothbrush, and use a washing up soap bar (rub the sponge against the bar until it lathers up)

Oh I like the look of the dish soap bar.

I use funky soap company shampoo and conditioner bars. I don't get their normal soap though because it's the same shape as the shampoo so everybody else gets confused and while I can tell the difference with glasses on, without glasses I have no chance!

I have a variety of period pants and cloth pads. Some of my pants came with free wipes and they are great all round as face cloths etc.

I would love to tackle things like toothbrushes and paste but bamboo brushes are so much more expensive that with 3 kids it's a bit of a non starter at the moment.

Ditto face cream etc and wash and deodorant.

I'm a sweaty person, I've tried various things, pit rock, bicarb based etc to no effect other than a stench and ruined clothes. I'm not sure I could persuade the smelly boy to use other stuff, I can only just get him using a roll on.

Face cream I struggle and have found an inexpensive one that works well and has fairly harmless ingredients but it is in a plastic tub. It lasts ages and I can recycle the plastic but I'd like to find an alternative.

PP reminded me, i also use these toothpaste tabs (chew until they turn into a paste then brush as normal) and this razor since it is reusable and the handle is made of bamboo. you can also do little things like take your own cup to costa/starbucks (and by doing so you also save money!)

Thank you everyone! I shall be doing some ordering soon!
Luckily I never get takeaway drinks so don't need to remember a cup ever, but when I start walking to work next month I shall be taking a hot drink in one 😂
I know lush do eco friendly make up, but is it worth the cost does anyone know? I've always found them very expensive and I can't afford much for my make up
