Went to the supermarket this morning wearing pearls. (Which may seem eccentric but now I’ve retired I very rarely need to dress up so unless I wear them in every day situations they’d live in their box).

Anyway, a young child was behaving badly and READERS I DID NOT CLUTCH MY PEARLS! Should I be proud or ashamed?

Ashamed. Unless the checkout assistant tried to have a conversation with you and you looked at her in disgust.

EleanorReally · 27/10/2019 14:30

proud,
a young child behaved annoyingly in an event last night,
i gritted my teeth

AdaColeman · 27/10/2019 15:38

Ashamed, pearls are for clutching.
But you will be forgiven if you had a gin when you got home! Gin Gin

It depends - were your hands otherwise occupied hoiking up your judgeypants?

Deeply ashamed. Next you'll be telling us that you've used a toilet brush and answered the door to someone you weren't expecting.

tanstaafl · 27/10/2019 16:44

which supermarket OP?

ALongHardWinter · 27/10/2019 17:23

Did you buy some Pomme Bears in the supermarket?

Ghoulestofmums · 27/10/2019 18:24

There is a different meaning to a pearl necklace op. Just be aware!!

Ghoulestofmums · 27/10/2019 18:34

Oh dear, I had absolutely no idea! Naïveté is me. (I assume it's something dodgy). I might ask for this thread to be pulled then

Tmi to save your Google history - it's a necklace of semen....
Better you know op...

ErrolTheDragon · 27/10/2019 18:52

Doesn't sound clutchable, so I think the OP is safe.
