Does anyone celebrate Halloween after the day too?

I only ask, as we are really busy before it, so will only have Time for crafts and films after it. Does anyone else do this?

Lessstressedhemum I'm not in Killie, but just a few miles outside, yes. DGS will be late for his weekend visit this week because he has a Killieween party tonight. Grin

Ah we are in a town very close to you. My dp grew up in Kilmarnock. Happy trick or treating!

We had a party this afternoon. It was not our first.

mumofBeth · 25/10/2019 21:48

Another Killie resident here so Halloween is today for us! Wouldnt do Halloween crafts or movies after Halloween personally so for us it's all finished tonight.

Greenbutterlfy566 · 25/10/2019 22:29

I've often done the Halloween games on a different day.

inwood · 25/10/2019 23:40

No. Halloween is the 31st. Then we can start on Christmas!!

Lessstressedhemum · 26/10/2019 03:36

Hirples, I'm not in Kilmarnock either, but a few miles over the road at the coast. When I was young, I used to go and stay with my cousin in Kilmarnock for the last Friday, then we could do Hallowe'en twice😁

Greenbutterlfy566 · 26/10/2019 09:08

I’m going to keep it going until bonfire night lol then Christmas.

Not normally no but as it falls on a Thursday this year we're going out to a Halloween night at a pub, live music and fancy dress 🦇

Izzabellasasperella · 26/10/2019 10:21

On the 1st

HirplesWithHaggis · 26/10/2019 11:16

Lessstressedhemum I would have loved two Hallowe'ens as a child. Grin

elQuintoConyo · 26/10/2019 11:34

Schools are closed Friday 1st and Monday 4th here, do we'll have a long weekend Halloween. We're having some of ds' friends over Saturday afternoon for Halloween games and food, it's a bit of a novelty for them (we're in Spain).

We've had some decorations out god a week already, door wreath, a few spiders etc. We won't start with Christmas jollity until after remembrance Sunday.

Greenbutterlfy566 · 26/10/2019 17:08

Oh yes, November 11th

OP posts:
Morgenrot · 26/10/2019 17:13

I don't get anyone celebrating any occasions on a day other than the day itself, but I realise I'm in the minority on this one.

Elphame · 26/10/2019 18:43

The astronomical date for Samhain is 7th November this year so you have some leeway

Morgenrot · 26/10/2019 20:31

Ooh really @Elphame? That's my birthdayHalloween Grin
