DS wants some new clothes for Christmas but hates shopping. He wants something 'cool' but can't tell me what that is. Grin Help please!

all of dd's male friends (age 15/16) wear joggers like these, logo shirts like these, trainers with the bubble thing like these and a branded hoodie (usually nike or adidas)

RedskyToNight · 24/10/2019 18:18

My DS just wears supermarket jeans and plain Tshirts. Though he does have a SuperDry hoodie which he really likes.

PomBearWithAnOFRS · 24/10/2019 18:26

Sidemen and Jake/Logan Paul "not merch"
Not quite sure how the Paul stuff works, it's not the actual stuff, but it is particular stuff iykwim. Bought on Amazon and eBay.

somanyresusablebags · 24/10/2019 18:29

One wears skinny jeans from debenhams, plain t shirts and Nike hoodie.

His brother wears Canterbury trackie bottoms and hoodie from rugby team.

Both need very few clothes and a pain to shop for luckily once we get it right we're set until they grow.

Themazeoflife · 24/10/2019 18:34

Sik Silk
Tommy Hilfiger
KWD (Kings Will Dream)
Adidas
Nike
Ralph Lauren
Levis

Sweetpeach3 · 24/10/2019 18:41

My DSS is 16 next week an he's into north face, Nike, Armani. An iv found under armour is very popular with the young ones.
Anything in JD really !!
We've got him a north face tracksuit and then new trainers (Nike 110s)
But definitely isn't bloody cheap! Specially when he's in men sized shoes bigger then his dad an he wanted the new 110s or something ? God knows but they best last him the year or he's going ghandi style lol x

SpiderCharlotte · 24/10/2019 18:45

Thanks all! I'm so sick of seeing him in bloody Adidas or Nike joggers but there doesn't seem any point in buying him trousers because he won't wear them!

My ds is 15, he is autistic & refuses to wear anything with a logo or pattern on it. He wears a lot of TU clothing, black Jeans & plain T shirts, thick checked brushed cotton shirts, he only likes Karrimor trainers as they haven't got massive logos on them.

BG2015 · 24/10/2019 18:49

Anything Nike, trackies, hoodies and trainers. He's at college and 16.

He also wears Jack Wills, Holiister and some Boss stuff too.

CaptainTurdseye · 24/10/2019 18:50

Nike adidas Ralph Lauren north face Armani stone island supreme and balanciaga Trainers - mostly from the outlet village thank goodness

Ronnie27 · 24/10/2019 18:55

Mine are mainly in:

Under Armour
Hype
Tommy Hilfiger (sale obviously)
Lyle and Scott
Ted Baker
Joules / Gap / Next / H&M for jeans / chinos. There seem to be lots of elasticated ankles and strange pockets going on at the moment?
Original Penguin or Lacoste polos when forced to be smart.
Timberland boots or those slider things with socks (glad it’s winter again tbh).
I don’t understand their trainers.
Some other rugby brand for their underwear and socks.
Have a look at Next online, they sell a lot of other stuff now so I usually go by the pictures and leave the sports wear to Dad to sort. Grin

QueenofLouisiana · 24/10/2019 19:00

Hollister, Superdry, Nike. Under Armour, North Face tshirts and hoodies. Not big logos. Jeans from boohoo (mainly because they do some which fit) and tracksuit pants from ASOS (same fitting issue) if sport related.
ASICS trainers. Sports related jumpers from his most prestigious events (again, when doing sport stuff).

ChickenyChick · 24/10/2019 19:02

My teens (14/17) are not into clothes as such, but love their Hollister super soft fleece lined hoodies

Not cheap but they wear it loads

ChickenyChick · 24/10/2019 19:04

Yes, Asos track pants here too, and Uniqlo super stretch skinnies (they are very soft and stretchy)

MonChatEstMagnifique · 24/10/2019 19:16

Either tracksuits or skinny jeans and a t shirt with trainers. Shirts and skinny jeans for when he needs to look smarter. Most of it is brand names like Nike, adidas, Armani, Superdry. He likes river island too.

GeoffreyAndBungle · 24/10/2019 19:16

North face
Nike
Adidas

Some kids also have designer stuff like Armani and Supreme - well out of my budget!

Doubletrouble99 · 24/10/2019 20:31

I manage to get most of our DS's stuff from Sports Direct or JD's.
They all wear Adidas joggers. Don't like the ones with cuffs at the bottom, I get two pairs for £45 from Sports Direct. He likes any plain-ish tee shirt a small logo and hoodies. He likes to wear his tee shirts tight so although he is 5'10" and quite mussily I have to buy him 13/14 year old sized tee shirts! He wears Adidas trainers as well. We had great trouble getting him something else to wear when he had a family occasion that required something smarter and managed to get him into black skinny jeans and a white polo shirt with small black buttons from burtons!

SpiderCharlotte · 24/10/2019 22:26

The price of some of these hoodies is unbelievable! I shopped in Chelsea Girl and Virgo when I was 15!

Themazeoflife · 24/10/2019 22:50

Mine wear Kenzo too (not for much longer as they are moving into adult sizes)

Themazeoflife · 24/10/2019 22:57

Mine want Moncler but they not getting it.
I have not look in River Island for a few years.

SpiderCharlotte · 25/10/2019 09:05

Just had a look at Moncler @Themazeoflife, OMG the price! He will not be getting one of them. Grin

MonChatEstMagnifique · 25/10/2019 09:09

Without wishing to start a debate, another thread came close to being taken down, I wouldn't buy Moncler as they use real fur. ☹️

JulieRat · 25/10/2019 09:22

Moncler bloody hell! I fantasise about Moncler for myself when I'm inexplicably rich one day!

Luckily my DS is not into labels (so far), and like a PP's he hates logos. He likes joggers and hoodies which I get from supermarkets, Gap, H&M etc. He also likes arty and interesting t-shirts, eg from an art gallery shop or online. Sites like Threadless and Zazzle have lots of cool t-shirts but I'd probably consult my DS on the designs if I was getting him one, as it's hard to predict what they'll like.

Themazeoflife · 25/10/2019 10:41

SpiderCharlotte you can understand why I said no Grin

Themazeoflife · 25/10/2019 10:43

SikSilk have a sale on at the moment and look at here for other sale items.
