ID for teenagers...no passport

I an looking to open two bank accounts for my 11yo and 13yo. We are going for the prepayment visa debit under 19yo at TSB.

So pocket money can be DD in and they can only use the money on the card...no debt/overdraft.

Only issue is ID. I need to provide ID for both children. We have birth certificates but no passports.

What could be used instead of passports ? I will ring the bank in the morning but wanted to have some options before hand.

www.citizencard.com/

These are good

Just ask the bank. A lot of the time they don’t require anything other than the birth certificate for children.

Alternatively, here’s the list for TSB.

So the birth certificates plus child benefit letters should be sufficient but call them and ask.

Do you bank there? You may be able to complete a form and introduce them.

I do bank with them and I have my child tax credit letter with them on.

Ok. Hopefully this is doable, without spending any money.

We took medical cards, tax credits and child benefits letters. I took proof of my own ID with driving licence.
