Can babies have food cooked with double cream?

Sorry asking here for traffic!

I can’t see anything definitive online. I was going to cook some creamy tomato pasta sauce but the recipes say double cream.

If I can’t use double cream is there an alternative?

She’ll be 8 months old at the end of the months if that makes a difference

Of course it's fine. Why wouldn't it be?

I can't see why not.

Of course they can, why wouldn't they be able to?

Unless they are allergic to dairy it’s fine. The only things they can’t have is honey until one, high salt and whole nuts, grapes or olives but chopped is fine. You probably want to avoid too much sugar.

I can't see why not ? Im assuming you give the baby cheese and yoghurt

At 8 months babies can eat everything, just taking care to avoid choking hazards (whole nuts, whole grapes, etc.), limit salt intake and most people avoid honey until after a year (due to small risk of bacteria).

What are your concerns with it? It's just like thick milk surely?

Takemyhand · 21/10/2019 16:24

Ah great thanks all!

I dunno I think I was just worrying that it would be too rich or something for them 🤷‍♀️ No idea why
