Just that?

PinkFizzx · 20/10/2019 17:02

141?

Minorityreports · 20/10/2019 17:02

Anyway look - if he wanted to he'd unblock me and call me today.
So, it's just me feeling a bit poorly and vulnerable.

We blocked each other as are now exes.

DioneTheDiabolist · 20/10/2019 17:05

Who is your new NOK OP. You need that person with you. Not a far away ex.Flowers

Babyg1995 · 20/10/2019 17:06

I hope not I would hate for my ex to get through after I blocked him just by withholding his number.

Minorityreports · 20/10/2019 17:06

I know he only texted because the hospital called him, but he's about the only person I've got in the space of 400 miles.

MustardScreams · 20/10/2019 17:07

Type 141 before his number and it should go through. Or ask to use the hospital phone if you can.

Hope you’re ok op Flowers

PennysPocket · 20/10/2019 17:07

Yes but I don't think calling an ex is a good idea. Why would you want to call an ex?

I am sorry you are in hospital but don't you have a friend or family member you can call?

Minorityreports · 20/10/2019 17:08

It's nothing sinister in the relationship (ex), it's just that we're two hot heads and can't sort of stop ourselves contacting each other so blocked each other. Which was going fine........................

OP posts:
Minorityreports · 20/10/2019 17:08

Yes, I have, but none of them live in England.

OP posts:
PennysPocket · 20/10/2019 17:09

Sorry just saw your update about 400 miles and nobody close.

Even so is calling your ex going to achieve what you want it to?

Minorityreports · 20/10/2019 17:11

My bro is on another continent, my mother won't answer the phone, my dd had to go as she got another more pressing call and my sister doesn't speak to me (or I don't speak to her).
I don't want anyone else knowing why I'm in hospital.

OP posts:
Minorityreports · 20/10/2019 17:12

It just would have been nice to have talked to him. Just a friendly voice, that's all. Oh well.

OP posts:
Meshy23 · 20/10/2019 17:12

Sounds odd - they clearly don’t want to hear from you so why force it?

MustardScreams · 20/10/2019 17:13

It doesn’t sound like he doesn’t want to talk to op, or he wouldn’t have messaged her asking her to call him. Maybe he’s forgotten he’s blocked you? And wondering why you’re not calling?

Minorityreports · 20/10/2019 17:13

This is true. I will bear that in mind.

OP posts:
PennysPocket · 20/10/2019 17:14

Do you need to call the ex though or is it just another drama/excuse?
Sorry to sound mean it's just that he's your ex he blocked you he does not want contact.
I assume it's your adult DD so hopefully that means you have some support from another person.

DuckbilledSplatterPuff · 20/10/2019 17:14

So sorry to hear that, it must be very hard when you are feeling poorly. I hope you feel better soon. I know this might be difficult but could you have a chat with one of the nurses? Just so you've got someone in real life to talk to. There may be people at the hospital who can help in these circumstances. I hope you feel better soon and can keep your spirits up, wishing you all the best. x

Minorityreports · 20/10/2019 17:16

I don't need to call him, no.

OP posts:
PennysPocket · 20/10/2019 17:16

He only called the OP because the hospital rang him as he's NOK. It's not like he chose to call OP for a chat of his own back.

Maybe just leave it OP and focus on getting well/recovering and not on contacting your ex.

Minorityreports · 20/10/2019 17:18

Yes Penny - that's exactly what I'll do. Onwards and upwards eh?
Listened to a thingy about anxiety a sort of calm you down thing which helped earlier. Don't usually give time to such things, but it has helped me I think.

OP posts:
Meshy23 · 20/10/2019 17:20

If you really need to contact someone perhaps just call them from the hospital phone or contact via Facebook.

But sounds like it’s best not to call your ex.

Minorityreports · 20/10/2019 17:21

Well then why did he ask me to call??? And leave me blooming blocked lol.

OP posts:
Minorityreports · 20/10/2019 17:23

I'm home now (part of the reason he was called).
