I'm 23 have 2 DC's already. My mom died age 34 from cervical cancer, I constantly keep getting UTI's last night I writhed around bed all night because I just felt desperate for a wee and the pain was unbearable. This happens at least monthly if not more often.
Sometimes the doctor gives me antibiotics but it's a hell of a long process getting them, I have to take pee sample in they send it to the hospital I have to wait for results etc. I drink plenty of water as a rule but it doesn't seem to have any effect.

Would it help to just have my womb, ovaries, cervix and everything else down there removed, I obviously have the fact my mom died of cervical cancer I could get it. Would it stop me getting UTI's so much or wouldn't it help at all? I can't go on like this

i had everything removed in my early 20s as my mum died very young of ovarian cancer. unfortunately it wont stop uti's as that is your bladder not your reproductive organs. you need to be referred to an urologist to find out what is going on hope you feel a bit better now

If you have a partner, have they been treated? I have a friend who kept getting UTIs, in the end her doctor talked to her partner who wasn't wiping, and as soon as he starting to, she stopped getting UTIs as much. He didn't ever have a UTI himself, I don't think.. although I didn't quiz them!

Has your GP suggested low dose antibiotics every day for an extended period?

What pp said re UTIs.

Removing your ovaries, especially so young, would have serious long term health implications for you including but not limited to osteoporosis. It would leave you at risk of various nasty things that would not make your life better or easier. Unless you're at high risk I doubt anyone would agree to remove your ovaries.

Do you know if you're higher risk genetically for cancer or was your mum's a random mutation ?
