Diagnose me

I I need to decide if I'm womanning up and taking the little ones out to support DSs sports fixture - or going back to bed with Cbeebies and MN.

DS is autisitic and was in tears twice getting ready for the event today. He's really not sporty - it's a compulsory full year group gala thing - families strongly encouraged, tuck shop & the rest.

I'm on my period and it's hurting a lot more than normal. Yesterday I kept having to sit because I was so dizzy I genuinely felt at risk of falling. I think this might be to do with blocked ears. In the night, I thought I was going to vomit. The stomach pain is bearable, but the cat walking over me made me shout out. I thought I might be getting fever - but popped loads of painkillers so hard to tell. Recently DIY treated myself for thrush. Otherwise healthy and well,

Is this a 'tough it out' jobby - or a 'take time to heal' jobby?

Do you usually suffer this badly with your period? Is the bleeding especially heavy?

Personally I'd go back to bed, you don't want to keel over away from home do you.

No - bleeding not awful - but pain and dizziness and 'out of it feeling' is not my normal.

I actually was worried I'd left a tampon in & the symptoms were toxic shock - but after a very messy check, it's not that.

I would stay at home in my pjs with the telly on and chill out with the kids. Take time to feel better 🙂

Call 111 for advice. I wouldn't go to the sports event.

Compulsory? On a Saturday? He’s autistic. Have they put any adjustments in place to allow him to attend? Personally (I have two children with asd) I wouldn’t go if it’s causing him distress and upset. This is why we avoid the summer and Christmas fetes as my eldest gets really stressed going despite wanting to go.

I would try to take him. Hope you feel better.
My periods can just be a lot worse some months than others. It's my normal. All the symptoms you list could be linked to how my periods can be.
