Dissolvable c section stitches???

Sooo I'm a month post elective c section.
My wound has had a bit of a rocky ride, 1 and a half weeks post op exudent was gushing out my wound, went to get checked and right enough the swabs confirmed there was indeed some kinda bacteria in there for which I was prescribed 2 courses of anti biotics. The courses are done and they helped amazingly! I am infection free. Fast forward a week later to 2 and a half weeks post op and I noticed a stich at the far left corner of the wound Infront of a tiny, uninfected hole. I went to maternity assessment to get this checked where I was given pronstan gel and sterile water to wash daily. I done this for a whole week. The wound was clean, smell was gone and 99% of pain gone but the small stich still remained, I decided enough was enough about 5 days ago and got sterile scissors and cut the knot off the stich after pulling it out about half an inch. There was still a small bit of stich left inside the tiny hole but the hole has since closed up and redness has gone down so it's healing just fine and I'm assuming the remaining stich inside the wound has dissolved as it has to be in the body to dissolve. Today I noticed another stich starting to show.. On the opposite side of my wound. Slightly stingy but I'm assuming this is because the lovely pouch of skin that over hangs my scar 🙄 Has anyone else had experience with rejecting stitches, should I go to docs or see how it goes? Is it serious? Help 😂 they obviously arnt dissolving properly thus stunting the natural healing process. I just feel that at 4 weeks post op my stitches should have already sorted themself's out. Don't want to be waisting anymore of the NHS time so if any advice would be awesome 😂😁

This seems a bit unusual. I've had a section, and didn't notice any stitches coming out or anything like that. I think you are better getting it looked at.

After my first section I healed normally no pain or anything but about 18 months later I was having a soak in the bath and just felt something sharp whilst I was washing near my scar . Had a feel and pulled a little and about one inch of tread with a big knot came out of the scar 😯.
Shocked the life out of me and felt tender for about two days but then was fine .

I had this happen after surgery. Apparently it can happen fairly often. I don't think it's reakky anything to worry about The body 'spits' out the suture rather than dissolving it. Once it's done that the hole normally heals. Check it out with your doctor though if looks infected or if you are worried.

Are you sure it is a dissolvable stitch? What colour is the stitch?

I had similar at about 5 weeks post c section. I spoke to my doctor at the 6 week check and he said as long as it's not hurting, although it can be irritating or rub the skin over it (I had a big overhang) then it's fine. Sometimes the body pushes them out rather then dissolve them. Just keep it clean and pat it dry don't rub it.

Very normal in my experience of dissolvable stitches. I’ve had multiple surgeries where dissolvable stitches were used and often they just appear.

Many years ago I almost amputated my arm and had dissolvable stitches internally and normal stitches externally which were removed. Around 4 months later bits of thread started suddenly appearing through my scar as my body rejected them - it was absolutely nuts. Saw a doctor and they said it was normal.

With all your issues with your wound I would see someone and ask if this is right - you may well have more.

I had a straight forward c section recovery so cant comment on that, but my dissolving stitches sound the same as yours. They started to poke through the skin above and below the wound over the course of 3 or so months, a few mm here and there all across, like little threads sticking out all over - a light tug on them did nothing. They did eventually dissolve after many many baths (and some light scrubbing when I was feeling brave). It was weird though!

Reassuring to know others have had experience with this! It has given me the closure I need. Thankyou!
There's is no nasty redness or pain surrounding the tiny hole where the sitch has popped out, it's clean so I'm confident I am not infected. Just need some extra healing time I think.
