Casually introducing 11+ stuff to DC.

My DC is in yr3 and has said that he would like to do the 11+. I'm not sure if he fully understands what it means, but he dues know that a (very) small number of children from his school go on to a grammar. He also knows that his best friend will be doing it as his sibling is already there.
He is lazy! Definitely bright, exceeding at school in everything but I struggle to get him to do homework etc.
But, I bought him a age 7-8 11+ maths book recently and he enjoys doing it. Its all very casual, I didn't tell him he "had" to do it, but that he might like it, which he does, and is much more inclined to do that rather than standard homework.
So, I'm going to get some other stuff for him to try on an equally casual do-it-if-you-want-to basis.
What would people recommend? Low key but targeted is suppose is what I need? Then he can get an idea of the kind of things he needs to be able to do, and I can work out if it's worth the tutoring costs in two years time!

The Week junior magazine is brilliant for getting year 3s reading (which is where so many fall down on the 11 plus). It also has a super puzzle page with anagrams, crosswords, sudoku, number walls etc which I used with my kids as “stealth” 11 plus VR and NVR training
