what would you do?

Money or time not a problem.

Audiologist

I think I'd like to be a French teacher. I already speak French, but the teaching part would be a push...

Do you think 48 is too late to start again?

All over again?

HR or law? I can't decide anything anyway!

I would do theology or whatever it is that temperance Brennan does in bones, forensic anthropology? At the moment I'm in childcare doing a part time degree in childhood and youth studies to hopefully go on and do a master's in psychology. I'm 29.

If time and money weren’t an issue I’d like to retrain as a physiotherapist.

I’m a teacher in a non-science subject so probably not the next go-to career!

@CormacMcLaggen I'm in my late 30s and retraining to be a specific type of therapist. If age is your only barrier, just go for it!

Fivechatchacha · 12/10/2019 20:31

My under grad degree is in comparative religious and biblical studies and I have wanted to do a phd in Pilgrimage since I got it 25 years ago

CormacMcLaggen · 13/10/2019 14:22

Thanks so much to those reassuring me being in my late 30s really isn't too old (I really thought it was!) I'm inspired and I'm now looking to some options - thank you for the massive boost! :)

I already retrained as a lawyer. I'd prefer to be an accountant now, having considered it a bit more (more transferable between countries).

Zigzagzzz · 13/10/2019 15:34

Vet

@CormacMcLaggen fantastic! One of my friends will graduate this year and she is over 50. Lots of health related uni & college courses attract people from across the age spectrum and no one bats an eyelid if you're 18 or 60plus and beyond. Really hope you can go for it Smile
