Parking in Blackpool

PechaKucha · 12/10/2019 13:41

I'm heading to Blackpool for a few nights next week and our BnB has non reservable parking which is SUPER helpful. Does anyone know of any reservable car parks, or ones that are likely to have spaces for 3 nights that aren't going to cost a fortune?

Thank you!

Blackpool is big so if you can give a more accurate location it would help.
Many places have street parking out of the centre which is unrestricted so that may be what's available near your BnB.
Would probably be best to ask the property manager what they advise.

Thanks star, we are just behind the Tower, right in the middle of everything which is why I'm panicking. It's an AirBnB which someone else has booked for me, but I'll try and get some contact details

Parking in Blackpool is a nightmare - I go there regularly for dd's dance events. This time, I've tried pre-booking on Just Park - am paying to park on someone's drive. Worth a try?

There area a number of 24 hr pay and displays.
Ask in your B&B

Central Car Park is just behind the Tower and is huge. Spaces are tiny though - very narrow. Some dick scraped £500 worth of damage onto the side of my car in there in August...

puppyconfetti · 12/10/2019 15:58

I'm afraid it will be expensive to park anywhere near that central area.

Depending on your logistics you may be able to park on street further out and take a tram/bus back to the centre. That way you would only struggle to park on arrival and departure time to unload/load the car. Wouldn't be an issue for a couple of able bodied adults but more problematic if anyone has mobility issues or if you have small children and lots of luggage.

puppyconfetti · 12/10/2019 16:01

Ignore me, I didn't realise you could get up to 96 hours in central car park for £20 - I would go for that, but it is very squishy as you says

Baboutheocelot · 12/10/2019 16:17

Talbot road car park is about a ten minute walk from the tower, if you look online you can find out how much it charges.

Parkopedia website is your friend.

hidinginthenightgarden · 12/10/2019 16:49

We are going tomorrow and looked on parkopedia, the gardens by the tower are £6 for 10 hours.

There's a public car park at the top of Charnwood Road (one of the roads behind the tower) and I think that's around £20 for 96 hours too.

Thanks for your help everyone.

I've been a few times so vaguely know my way around, but would always book somewhere with a guaranteed space (this is me being ungrateful for a free mini holiday Blush). The central car park is cheap for being RIGHT THERE and my car is fairly small so I think we will try and get parked in there and move further out if not. There's just two of us, an adult and an almost adult so we can manage, especially if we can drop bags first.

One trip (pre smart phones) I had to get a taxi from the car to the hotel and back to the car because I couldn't find the hotel!
