My dh thinks I’m mad spending so much time on this. But he will sometimes ask, so what’s mumsnet thinking...?

Funny, ridiculous, mad, time waste.

Courtney555 · 08/10/2019 22:05

Mine asks "what crap that we don't need have you bought off the Christmas bargain thread today then?" Grin

Fizzypoo · 08/10/2019 22:08

Mine used to find it quite funny until he asked me to put our arguement to MN and resoundly lost.

Now he thinks it wastes my time Wink and makes 'jokes' about women with opinions.

Seriously now, he does think the more I'm on MN the judgier a cow I become.

SalamanderOnHoliday · 08/10/2019 22:15

Yeah I get that too sometimes, ‘that’s a bit mumsnet ‘ if I express an opinion that’s particularly unwelcome...result

No way would I tell him I’m on here.... it’s my guilty secret!

Craftycorvid · 08/10/2019 22:19

Thinks it’s rubbish and complete time-waster....until he gets interested in a thread.

PawPawNoodle · 08/10/2019 22:25

Mostly he's confused as to why I use mumsnet when we don't have children.

Bezalelle · 08/10/2019 22:43

He takes the piss, but then I found out he actually uses it as an example in a university assignment!

RustyBear · 08/10/2019 22:46

He's on here too...

Heartofglass12345 · 08/10/2019 22:47

He thinks most of the posts are made up lol

AnneLovesGilbert · 08/10/2019 22:48

He thinks it’s brilliant. I don’t know if he’s ever been on here of his own volition but I’ve sent him the odd bat shit thread for a chuckle and he’s seen the huge support I’ve received on here over the years with ttc, mc, pregnancies. He also always stores linen in a pillow case now Smile

Babyg1995 · 08/10/2019 22:49

He's never heard of it I've never told h him or anyone else I'm on here .

Ludways · 08/10/2019 22:50

I only read the funny or shocking ones to him, other than that I have no idea, I've never asked what he thinks.

Toddlerteaplease · 08/10/2019 23:01

My dad introduced me to mumsnet. We have loads of In jokes between us about it. My mum does Not get it at all, and it gives my sister
Even more ammunition to call me a looser!! Grin

AthollPlace · 08/10/2019 23:03

He thinks it’s where I slag him off to other mums. No idea how he’s found my posts!

Sparklingbrook · 08/10/2019 23:17

He says everything on here is made up. If I happen to tell him about a thread and something that happened he just says 'but did it really though?' He probably has a point TBF.

Bloodybridget · 08/10/2019 23:17

She used to roll her eyes, but sometimes now I can start a conversation around a thread. Also she knows I'm getting brilliant support on the cancer thread. I'm glad she doesn't look at the site herself, though!

CakeNinja · 09/10/2019 00:18

Don’t think he’s ever heard of it. I don’t tell him what I read about on my phone! Not sure he’d be interested in people moaning about parking, Christmas dinner guests and how much other people spend on their food shopping anyway Grin

Crunched · 09/10/2019 00:21

On long car journeys I read some of the more interesting posts out loud to keep him entertained... he usually ends up shouting “LTB, LTB” at the top of his voice.

DramaAlpaca · 09/10/2019 00:25

He doesn't get it. He's mildly amused when I tell him about things I've read on here, but has no interest in checking it out himself.
