I need ideas to make more money?

I'm a single mum who works full time in a school but as my pay is pro rata I earn just under 11k my wages are topped up by tax credits but I'm sick of being skint. I am fed up of not being able to do anything with my children as all my wages go on the rent and council tax. Tax credits have to cover everything else so it's tight.

So today I have been looking at working from home jobs I can do in the evenings but they all seem to be scams so does anyone have any ideas what I can do? I can't go out to work in the evenings as I have 3 children at home and no one to watch them.

There’s a thread which is something along the lines of Earn £10 a day.

It has lots of suggestions, and lots of supportive people with the same aim.

PeoplePerHour.com is a great way to find work from home opps that certainly are not scams.

I work full time with clients who I originally found on there, but there are also thousands of very small jobs available, if you have a skill that people are willing to pay you for.

Childminder? Maybe mainly for before school and after school care. Plus school holiday care?

Matched betting?

What do you do in school? Do you have any qualifications? A couple of people I know mark tests for City and Guilds in the evenings.

How awful that you can work full time and still only earn less than £11,000 pa!

Wouldn't you be better off setting up a cleaning business with a friend? Cleaners earn around £10 to £15 per hour.

How about doing ironing for people? I hear of this quite often people get around £20 per bag? Also if you are off in the summer could you child mind or do drop offs for summer clubs etc

I'm a special needs teaching assistant I'm currently doing my nvq 3 to try and work my way up a bit. I am lucky I have the holidays off as I save loads on child care. It's just depressing to work and have nothing much to show for it. I can't do child minding as my one of my children is being assessed for asd and has very violent outbursts. If it wasn't for that I could do pa work for kids at my school during the holidays.

I do have one skill I can do but it is hard to find what is legit and what isn't. It's so difficult. I could find a job all year round but I don't think I would be much better off after the child care.
