Can Reuter admin see WiFi internet history?

Does anyone know if the person with a home Reuter login can track internet history of users using laptop, mobile phones etc?

I'm on NowTV broadband and I'm fairly certain I can't. However, if they can access your device directly then it will be visible.

If you have concerns about your own safety if the router admin was to see what you've been viewing or need to view, could you go to the library?

The router is just a two-way pipe connecting any devices that use it to the internet - it doesn't store or log anything itself. Usage history is only potentially logged by your ISP (depending on who you're with) and on any device itself (often still retrievable by experts even if you manually delete the history).

Assuming that you aren't accessing anything illegal or 'questionable', then I very much doubt your ISP would release any usage history even to the individual customer (too much hassle for them and maybe dodgy with GDPR, I'd have thought).

Obviously, the best thing would be to not be in a position of having to worry about this, but if you are, the next best thing would probably be to get a secondary device with a biometric entry system whose existence isn't known by the person you don't want to know which websites you've visited, use that device exclusively for all 'sensitive' web use and, if you possibly can, store it away from the house, somewhere secure, when the other person might be at home.

Hope you're OK, OP.

It's possible that a router can be configured to log though (even the most basic broadband provided one could be configured to point to another DNS server which would could log requests and therefore know sites for most, or direct users to a proxy more and know more.)

If you need to protect yourself, you need to make sure none of the devices or networks involved are accessible to those you need to protect yourself from. As sausage roll says that means a secret device used on safe networks.

You can control what devices uses wifi and what webpages they visit. So I would assume you can track what sites are visited. You can also get apps which link to the router and allow you to control who visits those pages.
Op are you okay?

Before delving into the technical details (which are varied) a better response might be to ask why you ask in the first place ?

If you want to keep your browsing history from prying eyes in your household, the only sure way is to use a VPN for all your internet traffic. That would hide all your activity from anyone between you and your destination.

Most routers (and all the ones I've seen over the years) can be configured to log traffic for diagnostic purpose and some (like the router I'm on now) can be set to email the logs to someone on a regular basis.

That's all in addition to Google slurping up your every move, if you use Chrome. Or the Google website.
