Anyone awake to speculate wildly with me about whether I'm in labour?

This is baby #2 - my first (now 4) came early and labour / delivery was unusual so don't really feel I have a 'normal' frame of reference.

I'm 38 weeks. Had sex at 10pm-ish for the first time in a long time. Now I'm getting tummy pains and tightenings every so often - though very mild - and wind, nausea, lots of pooing...

Basically I know the answer is "this might be labour, wait and see" but as per thread title I'd like some speculation buddies who are willing to confidently express their unqualified opinions, please. DH is snoring happily beside me but I can't sleep.

I checked back in assuming the recent posts would mean a baby and STILL NO?! Jeeeez OP, I'm frustrated by that, you must have been going insane! Hope all went smoothly and easily and you sneezed out a nice small one who sleeps perfectly from day 1!

My bet is baby is here. 8lbs 1oz; 19.5 inches long, and born at 3:20 pm.

That's it. Really I just hope the reluctant newcomer accepted his eviction notice so that his poor mother can get some rest. And sniffs of his lovely wee neck!

December2019 · 18/10/2019 17:17

Never mind me I'm just taking a seat 🥤 🍿

My bet is right now! 6.04pm and a neat 7lb exactly Smile

Dollywilde · 18/10/2019 18:06

@missmouse101 I originally misread as 81lb and pulled an inadvertent Shock face for poor OP Grin

itreallyisanicefence · 18/10/2019 18:22

Please please pleeease can we have a photo when he arrives?! 🤞🏻

MrsIronfoundersson · 18/10/2019 18:35

What can you possibly be doing OP that's more important than updating us?!

(Hope it's going well Flowers)

MitziK · 18/10/2019 18:42

Be fair, everyone, she doesn't just have to birth the baby, there's the full school uniform and PE kit he's carrying in a backpack, too.

More names? How about Nivens (McTwisp) or William (as in W. Rabbit) - both used as names of the White Rabbit in versions of Alice in Wonderland?
