Hello,
I'm visiting Belfast for a couple of days in October during the half term holiday.
I have a 6 year old DS. I'm planning on doing the Titanic Museum and also W5.
We are staying in the centre but are flying so won't have the car with us. Could always hire one if necessary.
Any tips or info would be great please, also on places to eat which are family friendly!
Thank you

We did an open top bus tour when we were there once which was very interesting. We go there often but still learned and saw new things.

Belfast is such a friendly town that I am sure anywhere you go will be welcoming to your son and there are some fantastic restaurants . There are a few called Deanes which do great food. I particularly like Deanes Deli Bistro which is very central. www.michaeldeane.co.uk/deanes-deli-bistro-and-vin-cafe/

If he likes football, he’ll enjoy the National Football Stadium at Windsor Park. The 45-minute tour takes you behind the scenes. Kids love the interactive parts of the tour with the highlight being the opportunity tostrike a penalty kick against a computerised goalie.
CS Lewis Square has lots of sculptures from the Chronicles of Narnia (perhaps watch the film before you go!)
HMS Caroline is great for kids, it’s really interactive and there’s a themed playground next door.
The Ulster Museum has dinosaurs and an Egyptian mummy . Admission is free and it has a regular programme of events and exhibitions. Maggie Mays is nearby and is good for a bite to eat.

To eat:
The Chubby Cherub
Little Wing Pizzeria (kids get an activity sheet/colouring and pencils)
Fratelli Belfast
Deane and Decano
Benedicts of Belfast

The Ulster Museum is a great museum, not huge like London ones so good for weans. It is in the Botanic gardens which has a nice VIctorian Glasshouse with tropical plants. If the weather is okay then a trip out to Cultra to the Transport and Folk museum is a good day out. There are two museums, an indoor transport one and then across the roas is the Ulster folk museum, There is a grand house and then lots of different types of cottages e.g. a vicar's house, a tiny poor home, a terrace of 2 up 2 downs, a school house etc all dotted around the estate. You go in each house and it is kitted out for its time period and often has actors in costume to talk to you about the cottage and maybe making griddle cakes or doing a trade.

Really easy to get to by train.
