Problems with Dulux Bathroom and Kitchen Paint/Another Brand Please?

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has had any problems with Dulux Bathroom and Kitchen Paint. It might just be that we have purchased a faulty batch or something but it seems to be scratching really easily. Fair enough we have had a kitchen installed and had minor scratches as a result of this but when I have attempted to wipe these marks to see if they will come off, the paint seems to have come off too. Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue or could recommend a different make of robust paint for kitchen/dining room/hallway please. We have two young children so need it to be as robust as possible!

I'd contact Dulux customer services

You really can't go wrong with Johnstone's paint.
Dulux is not good at all.
You know that saying 'buy cheap, buy twice' it's usually true.

Thanks Welove, I don't know whether Dulux is particularly cheap, I always thought it was a trusted brand but I will keep Johnstone's paint in mind.

Hi, yes, just to clarify, Johnstone's paints have higher quality ingredients fulfilling standards that Dulux don't. (My son worked here)
Dulux have similar ingredients though of an inferior standard.
The price of Dulux is fairly high and the brand well known, however you will find that even with two or three coats, the coverage isn't as good as one coat of Johnstone's.
I didn't believe it until I saw it myself.

In terms of alternative brands I like leylands for paint

I had the same problem with Dulux bathroom paint in brilliant white. Three coats and it didn’t even begin to cover the light green originally on the wall. It was very thin and watery. I’ve gone for the B&Q own brand bathroom paint now and that is much better. It truly is wipe clean and very good quality.
