Cleaner - new build house

Just looking for a bit of advice really, never had a cleaner before (and never thought I'd need one Blush)

We've been in our new build for 3 months now, first bought home together. We both work full time and long hours, so decided to have a cleaner come in on a Friday, but I'm not sure how long to ask for.

It's a town house, 3 toilets (1 bathroom, 1 en-suite and a downstairs loo) and because it's new it's still pretty sparse because we haven't decided how to decorate. So mainly I'd like the bathrooms, hoovering, dusting etc. How long should this normally take? I can spend hours, but I think that because I'm desperate to keep it looking new, and OCD doesn't help. I would love to come home on a Friday and just not have to worry about it.

Thanks for any replies in advance!

I'm a cleaner...well until I had my 18month old. I'd have done 2hours to start with. That I'd expect would be enough to do bathroom's hoover mop dust and kitchen surfaces

But then I work quite fast and full on. I would charge £15ph. So maybe a slower cleaner at £10ph may suggest 3hrs

Thank you @Surfskatefamily that's really useful, I was thinking 2 hours too purely because of the lack of shelving etc to dust, it's literally windowsills and bedroom furniture.

Maybe extra time every few weeks for things like patio doors. The lady we've got coming in is coming early for a chat first so we'll see, just wanted to get an idea. Do most cleaners now bring their own equipment and supplies!? I literally have no idea.

I have a new build townhouse 3 bed, one en-suite, family bathroom, lounge, kitchen diner, study, lots of stairs. We had a cleaner for 2 hours, who was a general ok hoover, wipe and a bit of dusting. She didn't really do the kitchen apart from the sink. She would steam mop too. I paid £30 for the 2 hours in SE.

I had another cleaner for a short while after I stopped the first one, just due to money. I got the new one just for a short while and she couldn't do the house in two hours ( one hour, two people for £28.) She would leave the mopping or certain rooms but she was much more thorough on the bathrooms and even dusted my blinds. Leaving bits is disappointing. She said the place needed 3 hours, I'd say they get a lot quicker as they know the house, but you don't really want them in the habit of leaving rooms.

So personally I'd say it probably does need 2.5 hours to do everything or 3 if giving adhoc jobs. Oh we have a dog, but we are very tidy and minimalist. We would generally Hoover about after the dog to sort mud and fur. I would wipe dust off sink if I noticed it. Some of my friends literally do nothing all week and leave it all for the cleaner.

I now clean my own house in about 2 hours, really going for it, whilst DC at preschool. I then use about an hour a week on occasional jobs like kitchen door wiping, skirtings, hoovering under stuff. I've had occasional spring cleans by cleaners doing 4 hours once a year and it's been disappointing.

Thank you @dailyukelele I was thinking the extra half hour for ad hoc bits too

I bring my things apart from hoover. Some don't. I'd ask the cleaner. Your house sounds great to clean (clutter is a pain)
