Child proofing drawers

Baby has just started crawling and is into everything! Is there any safety latches for drawers that can be removed without damage?
I'm not bothered about kitchen cupboards but we have a solid wood set of drawers in the living room that we need to make safe but I want to be able to remove the latches at a later date.

My mum had a novel way of keeping my toddler brother out of the drawers years ago. She bought 2 scary Halloween masks and put them in the drawers he liked to open. They didn’t stay open long, and we usually heard about it when they were opened! But I guess you’d want to avoid traumatizing your little one so I’m not much help at all, sorry.

We had some Munchkin sticky ones. They were great on solid wood with a natural finish but not great on paint as it came with when they were removed. If your drawers aren’t painted then they could be a good option.

Old fashioned huge wooden playpen so if you have to leave baby unattended you can plonk them in the playpen where they will be safe

Just put dangerous objects somewhere else is easiest option I think

We opted for moving stuff out of drawers if it wasn't safe for baby to handle. It worked. I couldn't find any good latches.

I just used a bit of string to tie them all together. If the drawers have handles, they're baby proof

If they have a handle, a strong elastic band to tie the drawers to one another will work.

We have some Aycorn magnetic ones. The mechanism itself sticks to the inside so you can’t see it.
