HELP! Swimming Nappies confused.com

I am going on holiday next week with my two year old and we will be swimming. We haven't taken her swimming since she was about 8 months old. She isn't toilet trained yet, and is in size 7 nappies. I can't find disposable size 7 swimming nappies anywhere. Plus I was looking at the reusable nappies.

Can I put a normal nappy under her reusable swimming nappy? Are there any size 7 swimmers out there? What are your experiences with this?

Please help!

Thank you in advance!

Size 7 nappies never existed when mine were small. I'd try the smaller size (5-6) as they might stretch enough. They are only for containing poo, not pee. Dont put a normal nappy on as it will expand and may even burst

No you absolutely can't use a normal nappy - they swell up to gargantuan proportions.

Little swimmers large go to something like 30lb, she should be fine in them? Swimming nappies are little more than poo catchers anyway.

Reusable ones are good too

I think you will struggle , size 7 nappies are to fit average five/six year olds who need them overnight. Are you sure she is a size 7?

Marmite27 · 30/09/2019 14:08

My 4 year old has to wear a paper nappy under a neoprene cover.

The yellow huggies still fit her.

(For her swimming lessons)

My 8 year old can wear the 5-6 size no problem (he has a disability) they do stretch

fitzbilly · 30/09/2019 14:10

The reusable swim nappies are all I've ever used and they are fine. Just swimming costume with extra padding really.

Are you sir she's a size 7 though?

hsegfiugseskufh · 30/09/2019 14:12

size 7?!

ds who is 3 and a bit still fits in size 5!

we got size 5/6 swimming nappies and they were fine.

God don't use a normal nappy. If you want an idea, try the bath with one on.

RainOrSun · 30/09/2019 14:25

If you've got a reusable swim nappy, do you need a disposable one too?
I'd just put her in something like this

You cant use a normal nappy in a pool in any combination.

This sort of thing but loads available

Try a reusable one, they're fairly cheap and you'll only need one or two of them I would've thought.

My daughter was also in size 7 pull ups when she was 2!
