Does this sound like thyroid issue?

A couple of years back, I had blood tests and everything came back 'fine' , except for a vitamin D deficiency, which was treated with supplements.

But I really think something is amiss, mainly with my thyroid. These are all the symptoms I have, which all came on around the same time.

-diffuse hair loss (diagnosed as female pattern baldness at 21 years old)

-ridged fingernails, which flake off and bend very easily.

-insomnia, followed by really vivid nightmares when I do fall asleep.

-waking up with horrible migraines.

-loss of appetite. (I forget to eat sometimes if DP is away, I just don't feel hungry at all)

-anxiety and depression.

-brain fog. Just yesteday, DP's mum came to visit, and she was talking to me but I just zoned out. I was trying to listen but it was like nothing was going in, and I honestly couldn't tell you a single sentence she said to me Confused

-freezing cold hands all the time, even in summer. They really are like ice blocks & people jump when I touch them.

-my skin has a weird yellow tint to it, and has gone really pale.

-moon face. I'm slim, but my face, mainly the jaw, has expanded so wide that I don't look like the same person anymore, and it feels hard rather than fatty.

-thinning brows, lashes and pubic hair. (Googling seems to suggest there are no links between this kind of hair loss and female pattern baldness.)

-bad acne, all over my back, face, chest, upper arms.

-excruciating period pain that travels down the front of my thighs and up my back.

When I had the blood test, the Dr just told me everything was normal and I didn't ask specifics, but I know that different doctors have different ideas of the ideal ranges. Would I be unreasonable to ask for them to dig deeper? I don't want to be a pain in the arse, but you know when you just know that something's wrong?

Just looking for opinions, I suppose, on whether you'd be concerned? Would you go back and ask for more help? I think my anxiety is holding me back, because I don't want to come across to them like I'm telling them they're wrong...

There are a number of symptoms which can be indicative of an endocrine disorder in your list; but the one that jumped out was moon face. This can be a sign of Cushings disease; which if you're not taking steroids, needs investigation. You need to go back to the GP with the symptoms you've listed and try to ask for a referral to an endocrinologist. Take photos of your face. Good luck OP.

Thanks for replying, I appreciate it :)

It's the moon face that bothers me the most, tbh, because it's completely changed what I look like, it's really disconcerting. I know it's definitely moon face because the 'fat' on my jaw is nearly as wide as my ears, it's horrible, yet my weight hasn't gone up at all and my face makes me look like I've put a couple of stone on!

You definitely need to go back to the doctors OP & tell them all your symptoms including the static weight but developing moon face. Good luck x
