Best baby wrap please!

Expecting DC2 very soon and with a toddler I will need my hands to be free as much as possible. Planning to get a baby wrap but they all look so complicated. Would appreciate some recommendations.
Don't want to spend a lot but if worth it would spend up to £40/50. Thanks

I’ve got a boba wrap which I love and was £30. It’s just one long stretch of fabric though so you do need to learn to tie it - lots of YouTube videos and I practiced with a teddy pre-baby 😂

The close caboo is similar but is pre-tied, you just slip it on and tighten. They often have these for sale in TKMaxx

Thank you @Splodgerz I will have a look at them both.

No problem! The boba is the best item I’ve bought for my baby. We still use it at 6 months as she’s a very snuggly baby. Don’t be put off by the fact you have to learn to tie it, it really is simple once you’ve practiced a few times. I preferred it to the caboo as I could never get the caboo tight enough because of the metals rings

I'd save your money and go to a sling library. A stretchy or close caboo will be easiest in the first few weeks and months but you'll need something firmer after that, either a buckled carrier or a woven wrap. They're very individual (I hate integras and ergos but others love them). A sling library would enable you to try them out before committing financially.

If you’re aiming for a stretchy get a 2 way stretch one. They’re much easier and much more forgiving to get right. Check out this link itsaslingthing.co.uk/all-about-stretchy-wraps/ and look for preloved or ex hire. They’re only used up to about 6 months usually so often find second hand ones for an absolute bargain. We love the free rider ones but they’re about £50 new. I also second the advice to use your local sling library (or if you don’t have one then It’s a Sling Thing (from that link) do a free 4 week stretchy hire for cost of postage).

We used a Boba when he was tiny and then a Baby Bjorn, love them both.

ergo sling is great and works up to age 2 or 3. like most good wraps, it holds the baby in a sitting position with the upper legs supported. babyBjorn and similar hold the baby up by the crotch which can't be comfortable, especially if the baby has a full nappy.

Parietal as car as I am aware the old Baby Bjorn did and there was then concerns about hip issues - the newer one doesnt. We preferred the BB over the Ergo because we found it more comfortable and felt more confident putting DS in it. It's a perfectly good sling.
