First family holiday abroad.

Am I fucked?
Paid with debit card.

Would normal travel insurance cover it if they go under?

Am stressed!

Ps my travel insurance doesn't cover airline failure. Crap

Witch It might be OK unless TC haven't paid Easyjet, but I don't know if that will directly affect your flight. I doubt that TC book directly on the EJ website like you or I would, they'll have a different process.

If you have a package, you're protected by the ATOL scheme. You should have a certificate explaining your rights within your booking paperwork/emails.

Keep an eye on the Moneysavingexpert website - just search for Thomas Cook and if something happens, they'll publish an easy to understand guide to what to do fairly quickly. If you booked via a travel agent, the agent might be able to rebook you onto a different holiday, this happened to a friend of mine when Monarch collapsed adn they had a Monarch package booked, they ended up going somewhere else as to go to the same destination, they would have had to fly from a different airport 200 miles away, but they still got a holiday, which was the main thing.

Travel insurance usually doesn't cover if the travel firm goes bust
