Just that really
Just curious as to any companies who have went above and beyond for their customers.
In my experience I feel most companies don't offer much in the way of after sales support except a couple who I've had good experiences with
Shark being one of them, can't fault them at all. My hoover stopped working and had a new one delivered within 2 days. Didn't even need to send back the old one either cos I had no way of packaging it up and getting it back to them!

Have complained to a good few others after I've purchased something, if it's been faulty or if I've not been happy with it and got nowhere 🙄

Toy manufacturer from the US - I was looking for some spare bears that my daughter loved (we had 5, but she was 10yo by this point and 3 had been retired due to over cuddling). They checked their warehouse in the US and when they couldn't find any, sent her a different one but in a very similar shape with a note to say they were cousins and hoped he was also good to cuddle. Not similar colours or even the same animal - they'd looked at the body shape and arm lengths etc to get a similar cuddle feel. Amazing.

Op TGI Fridays is run by Whitbread, and I also had great customer service in one of their other chains - possibly Brewers Fayre? I'd stopped off with the kids for a quick lunch one day. Ordered some drinks at the bar, then sat down at our table with menus. The waiter took our order, but shortly afterwards I was rummaging in my bag for something and realised I'd forgotten my purse Blush. I immediately went back up to the bar to let the manager know, and to cancel our food order. No need, he said! We were given our food, and they even brought ice creams for the kids once we'd finished.
As soon as I got home, I phoned up to pay by card, and then emailed their head office to thank them for their great customer service. A week later, I received a £50 voucher in the post!

Galt. We were given one of their craft boxes for a birthday. It was missing one of the types of craft item so I emailed them and literally the next day a whole new box arrived!

Sturdy by Design who do the most fabulously comfortable and insanely colourful running gear in all sizes.

I bought a pair of capri leggings and lost the flipping zip head off the zip pocket, and emailed to ask them if they had any spares. They sent me a new pair of leggings by return and didn't even want the old ones back so I have a spare pair albeit one I can't zip my phone into.

Very grateful and impressed.

Pleased to hear +s on JL - I wont ever use them again after my service experience.

But total service from SE Tyres - my local tyre, battery, alignment franchise. Warnings from the garage about tyre wear being close to legal limit - took the car in. Checked - didnt recommend replacement yet. But I talked to them about DC being very keen on mechanic type job - all staff talking to me about their training, what it entailed, suggestions, advice etc. I walked away quite overwhelmed that strangers would care so much.

Barclays.

They spotted a fraudulent transaction on my account, froze all my accounts, called me on my mobile very apologetically and arranged a new debit card all within the space of an hour.

It meant I couldn't access any money for 24 hours until the new card arrived but at least I wasnt ripped for for £2599 by some unknown individuals in Delhi Shock Luckily I had some cash but they did say I could go into a branch for some if necessary.

Also Lush. I was in there 6 months pregnant and DP phoned me and said his dad had just died. It was unexpected and I was so shocked I just burst into tears in the middle of the shop. One member of staff gave me a hug and cleaned me up another took my rather full basket and came back with everything bagged up... I pointed out I'd not paid and they said it was a gift to cheer me up Smile

Sunglasses Hut.. DD bought a pair of sunglasses in July, took them on holiday in August & the arm broke off one side. She took them back last week to see if they could repair them & without asking they replaced them immediately, with a new case & apologised for not giving a sturdier case in the first place 😂

listsandbudgets · 15/09/2019 23:52

Oh and Koh.

I bought one of their spray mops and somehow broke the bottle on it no idea how. I emailed them to let them know and within an hour got a reply apologising saying they'd arranged for a new bottle to be sent out. It arrived the next day on 24 hour delivery

Spin master, a toy company that made a brilliant land to water remote control vehicle. My 7 year old has played with his whenever possible since he got it nearly 2 years ago. I messaged asking where I could get a replacement charger from as I had lost ours,(I think I knocked it in the bin) and because they didnt make the thundertrax anymore, they gave him a completely new toy! Was so lovely of them!

Great customer service from Dyson replacing a battery in my handheld vacuum, we never even sent off the 2 year extended warranty thingy, couldn't find the original receipt, but they sent through a new battery 1st class post for free. Fantastic customer service and it's still going strong 2 years on.

My favourite ever experience was in a hotel in a town we lived in. It had a cool funky bar in the basement that we liked to go to. They were out of the wine I asked for so said they'd have to go to the upstairs bar and get some, no problem, we went and sat down. Then the barmaid brought over a large glass of a different wine as an apology and a 'while you wait' drink!! And they didn't charge for that or the original wine I ordered which arrived less than 10 minutes later. We still laugh about that one now.

Boots. Got delayed in traffic on our way home to collect DD's prescription dairy free formula and wouldn't make it in time to collect it, ahead of a Sunday when they wouldn't be open. Rang them in a panic in the hope that they could fax the prescription to another branch that opened on a Sunday so we could at least pick it up the next day. The pharmacist offered to drop it round to our house on her way home and it was waiting for us when we got back!

Fitbit! Any slight problem and they are super responsive and send a brand new device if you have exhausted the restarting process. Also very nice and chatty Smile

Such a tiny one I'm not sure if relevant, but it was amazing to me so I'll share...

7 years ago when DD tiny, I'd saved to get my (much younger) siblings an Easter treat and had budgeted for Easter lush bath bombs. Went in to buy them and got talking to lovely assistant about what I was doing and why. She asked what I was buying for myself- explained no spare pennies but when I was back in work I'd def be in for a "comforter" bath bar. As I was leaving store she chased me down and gave me my fave bath bomb on her. It was a small gesture but given my individual context at time.... I still remember and appreciate it wholeheartedly!
