If so, quick question I can’t find answer to on the internet! Can the same witness sit sections 7 and 9?? Thanks!

Also what if witnesses don’t have an official stamp? Is leaving that bit blank okay?

I used the same witness for both, and she didn’t have a stamp so they used a business card. They did contact her, not sure if they do a random check.

Fab, thank you!

It’s weird that solicitor isn’t on the list. I’ve got to get an affidavit form done as I’m sole guardian as DH died and it would be easier if they could do the witnessing too. But it seems not!

Tunnock I was sadly in the same position as you and had to get the sole guardian affidavit too. I found a local Notary Public (I just googled for my nearest one, I'm in UK) and he was able to sign and seal all the documents for me. Cost about £25/30 per child but money well spent to have the peace of mind it was all done properly. He was also the witness and I took the DC with me along with their UK passports and birth certs etc so he could verify they were who they claimed to be since he didn't know us personally.

Lawyer is on the list. You shouldn't need a notary public.

I got an accountant friend to do mine.
