How hard is it to find someone to witness passport photos?

Applying for a passport and so far asked local solicitors, GP to no avail. What can I do if I don't know anyone who isn't a police officer or teacher head teacher or otherwise.
its for an Irish passport. Feel a bit stumped

MY UK passport was signed and witnessed by a colleague who was a Registered nurse and it was no problem
The Irish one seems so much more specific and it has to be stamped from the organisation or persons signing it.
Was surprised that a local solicitor wouldn't help or my GP to be honest.
Or my MP.
No interaction with the local clergy so that was a non starter...

We charged as a school as far back as 1998. The small trickle changed to hundreds each year (very big school). The GP started charging and then everyone came to us and so we charged as well.

However then we stopped altogether as there was an unpleasant incident with the Home Office.

If you do sign as a teacher make sure that really know that child and both parents and that you have known them for the required time. Checks do take place and ultimately you could lose your job. You have to have known and be able to identify the ADULT who signed the form not just the child for at least 2 years.

What about your dentist? They will have a stamp. I used to do loads and didn't charge.

Hi op, I really struggled finding people to do ours so opted for a UK passport in the end. I know the police station will do it in northern Ireland but you're right, it's a lot more restrictive than the British one is. I'm going to apply for Irish ones now as well but needed them quickly for holidays and was wasting time and stressing out.

I have been humming and hawing about getting an irish passport. I was born in the UK, grew up in Ireland then returned to the UK about 35 years ago.always had a british passport as it was just easier. Never been an issue.

I sent off for the original forms in February and nothing happened then applied again in July. Getting round to it now and it's been really hard to try and find someone. I can understand people ot wanting to witness or sign such documents but how the hell can the average no mark like me get it done.
Glad I've found someone...
