Would you let a 6 year old stay with a 12 year old at home, while you popped out for 10 mins

And say they were both playing in a games console and you trust them to both be sensible and the oldest know what to do in an emergency etc

No, the would be likely to argue Hmm

Crystal87 · 14/09/2019 07:16

Yes for 10 mins but not longer and depends on how you think they will behave.

Rockbird · 14/09/2019 07:30

Yes if they got on well and the 12yo was sensible. I wouldn't leave my two (11 and 7) because they'd kill each other before the front door had closed.

Yes. I have a nearly 12 year old who is sensible. Also has a sensible sibling, which I think would be the deciding factor here.

TryingAndFailing39 · 14/09/2019 07:53

Yes as long as the 12 yr old is sensible and the 6 yr old can understand and follow instructions.

Lindy2 · 14/09/2019 08:01

Yes I would.

Possibly not my 6 year old- she terrorises her sister although I have left her with my neighbour who is 12 in my house (12 yo parents were home but wouldn't really have mattered if they weren't) I guess it depends on their relationship and the 6 year old in general more than anything

Littlebelina · 14/09/2019 08:21

I was going to go for a straight yes and then I remembered some six year olds I've met and say it might depend on the 6year old! Definitely a wide range of kids I'd trust to ones that would need constant vigilance amongst ds's friends!

Greenmarmalade · 14/09/2019 08:24

Yes!

Abraid2 · 14/09/2019 08:25

Yes.

LaMainDeFatima · 14/09/2019 08:25

Yes

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 14/09/2019 08:28

Yes.

Maniak · 14/09/2019 08:28

No. I'd leave the 12 year old on her own though.
