Tips for cleaning sofa after wee accident

Please help if you have any tips. My ds has sn, and incontinence problems. I was sitting on my sofa thinking that I could smell piss, and sure enough I sniffed the sofa and there's a patch. He must have had an accident and not told me. I love him so much, but it does get me down. I have tried febreeze and bi carb. Any other tips would be gratefully received. Thanks.

there are urine neutraliser sprays. can usually find them in pet shops or the pet aisle in supermarkets. this might do the trick.

That's a good idea. Thanks. 🙂

Seconding the pet urine spray, it's fantastic stuff (and Iv had more opportunities to test it than I would like). You need an enzyme one which breaks down any remaining stain, some are just a pet safe cleaner without the enzymes.

The one I use is Simple Solution, in a blue green spray bottle. Pets at Home and Amazon both have it.

Boi washing powder is good. I'm a childminder so this happens a lot in here atm as I have 2 potty training together. With the couch I usually stop it and wash in the machine but for the carpet, I mix powder with hot water, soak, scrub and then try and dry it up with towels.

Just use bio washing powder, it's the same enzymes that are in the spray. Mix it with water, apply it to the sofa and then put a wet towel over the top (the water activates the enzymes and makes them more effective for as long as it's wet the enzymes will work) leave on for a good few hours/overnight and then dry well.

I've had success with this in human wee and sick and cat wee.
