Where to get relatively decent curtains without spending much?

I'm decorating the dining room to get it ready to put on the market. (Currently it's bright pink! But am painting it white to remove personality.)

The old curtains are past it.

So, I need some curtains. I only really need them for the photos and showing people round, so I don't want to spend a fortune. (I may leave them in the house but I imagine the new people will replace anyway).

Does anyone know of any curtain sales? What kind of curtains would you choose to appeal to most people?

I was thinking possibly something light to keep the room light and airy, but perhaps I need something bright if the walls will be white?

The room has wooden floors, wooden dining table and sideboard and black piano. The furniture is 1930s (like the house) and a slightly orangey wood, no idea what to call it! It's a bay window.

Thanks :)

If you have an old fashioned curtain /carpets/ homeward shop locally try there. Ours is fab. (I like tracks too) They are great for advice and finding things in your budget. Especially as most cheap places like B&M only have the hoop curtains.

You’ll need pencil pleat curtains they’re not as popular as eyelet now a days so there is limited about in pencil. I know dunelm do a lot of eyelet in the shop but have them pencil pleat online. Money wise the range and B&M are decent value quality’s not amazing but get what you pay for.

B & M bargains if you have one nearby. Pretty good selection and decent prices.

Amazon.

Northernmum
B&M never have track curtains anytime I have looked. It's all hoops.

I like B&M's for curtains, it's where all mine have come from. Bit of a rummage but worth it.

Mumsnet is advertising curtains to me now!

I'm finding it really hard online. I've got a Dunelm in town, I think I'll go have a look.

It's like Home Bargains only bigger!

You don't need pencil pleat for track rails, you can have other styles. As can be seen from the versatile Ikea ones.

Always had tracks never had pencil pleats!
