Many apologies, I have become a bit of a serial poster over the weekend in my misery
Today I managed to get an emergency dental appointment for my toothache. I'm not hugely happy with the outcome but I do have antibiotics so all is not doom and gloom!
I know I needed a crown fitted but was hoping to be able to save for a white one. Apparently the infection is in this tooth and I will need root canal work or an extraction. I was told it was all my fault and I have made the treatment worse (probably 100% true but no need to be so blunt about it)
I've also been advised to take 600mg of ibuprofen instead of the recommended 400mg.
I cannot see my dentist for a review (no work carried out) until the beginning of October. I'm utterly terrified the infection will come back in this time.
Advice I've read seems to indicate that I should keep all my gnashers as long as possible. The dodgy one is tucked away and unless I try and bite someone, nobody is likely to notice. My local private practice is charging £140 for an extraction (I know there will be further costs on top) and I don't imagine I will be shouted at in the process.
Any advice would be hugely appreciated
