What do you do on the weekends with the kids?

3 DS's ages 9,6 and 20 months.

Yesterday we went to friends house who also have 3 boys. Kids played on their trampoline/ with their toys and grown ups had bagels and chatted. Afternoon I took DS2 to a playdate in the park and went back to friend's house and chatted to the mum while boys played. DH took DS1 and 3 to out of town superstore to buy random bits- shoes for DS3 plus bits of sports equipment etc. Then the big boys played in the park for a bit while I cooked dinner, then dinner, bath and bed

Today both boys have a sporting activity (one in the morning, one in the afternoon) which is taking up a lot of the day. DH has been taking them to those, I took DS3 to the park. He is now napping and I'm relaxing. Later I will drop DS2 at another friend's house while DS1 does his sport and probably take DS3 to the park again

Usually our weekends are a combination of :
Days out- beach/ local attractions/ country parks/ walks etc
Playing at home- puzzles/ lego/ reading/ playing in the garden etc
Activities for boys- they both play same sport
friend's houses/ meeting up with friends with kids/ having people over
playdates for boys
Random errands/ library/ out for lunch or dinner etc.

Yesterday:
Breakfast out and a wander around town.
Hairdressers followed by choosing new books from the library.
Visited lots of family members and then had grandparents round for dinner & play at home.

Today:
Lazy pj / movie morning, the food shop and then playing at home and in the garden, followed by a long dog walk including a trip to the play park.

At the moment weekends are low key after a busy summer / settling back into the school routine. We don’t always go somewhere ‘exciting’ mainly due to the cost but so enjoy: country parks, the cinema (mini mornings), the farm and other local events that go on.

I largely drive them around sporting activities and feed them. We can fit in archery, football, swimming and cycling on a good weekend. About once every 3-4
weeks one or both will have a Scouting activity. Then there’s parties. And homework. And music practice.

I have a 16 months old and a 3.5 years old.
Yesterday we went to the beach, then to the town for a walk around plus to get some shopping and snack to eat whilst people watching in the square. On Saturdays we usually go to the library but it was a long day so we skipped it this week.

Today we went to the garden centre which has a soft play and a fish place thingy, then went to the park. We then went to town again and had a meal plus went for window shopping and generally here and there.

I live for the weekend where I spend a lot of time with my kids. I love it.

We have 2 dc of primary school age.
In a typical weekend we don't really do anything. They potter about the house and garden or play with their friends and we do household chores. Occasionally we go for a walk or into town. Even more rarely we go on a daytrip somewhere.

Shock at these answers. You all do so much. We've just played, read and been to Lidl! (5 and 2 yr old)

Big hike, picnic
