Lakeland voucher expires soon - what are your best purchases from there?

I have a Lakeland voucher to use up - I don't want to waste it, but I'm not sure if there's anything I particularly need right now (I was kind of holding on to it until I did really need something) - so I might have to spend it on something I don't really need but would make life easier.

What are your best purchases from there?

(I liked the heated airer but have no room - very small flat, without any storage space)

Or shall I be boring and ask if they can extend the expiry date...

  • the heated airer, look at the different sizes, maybe one will fit your space.
  • shower squegee, window vac
  • rotary cheese grater
Daffodil2018 · 08/09/2019 10:47

God, I could spend hundreds in Lakeland in a heartbeat. How much is your voucher for?

You could upgrade any pots and pans you have? Get some stuff for baking? Cupboard organisers? New cafetière?

Daffodil2018 · 08/09/2019 10:48

Or anything from Joseph Joseph, or a Simple Human bin.

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 08/09/2019 10:50

Wow huge link! Sorry Grin

beanaseireann · 08/09/2019 10:53

I'd love to get the Tefal Ingenio saucepan set. The handles are removable so the saucepans can nest and are easily stored.
My saucepan drawer is a cluttered mess at the moment but I can't justy buying a whole new set and starting again. Sad
Lakeland in the past did their own brand version of the Tefal Ingenio, which were cheaper, but they seem to be discontinued.

beanaseireann · 08/09/2019 10:55

I'd also love if Lakeland opened a store in Dublin.
There's one in Belfast but that's a 100 miles away.

BlackberriesAndCream · 08/09/2019 11:00

Thanks for the ideas so far!

I have the Ingenio pans ,as there is only room for one cupboard of pans, so I could get another handle or a smaller pan if they have them.

Window vac sounds good - lots of large windows here that I've never washed Blush Maybe they do those Karcher things that I've heard about

Too much choice!

I've got £20, so nothing too expensive, though I can put a little extra with it if I want.

How much is the voucher for? These are brilliant. www.lakeland.co.uk/61838/Tatay-Fresh-Cold-Cut-Fridge-Storage-Box-Green

And you can always make up an amount with freezer bags (they have reusables), bin bags, cling film etc

I agree the ingenio stuff is great, I love my 2 frying pans

MissTicPizza · 08/09/2019 11:02

Set of different coloured chopping boards.

AuntieMarys · 08/09/2019 11:03

Sorry to hijack...do they do a proper airtight box for crackers? The one I have clearly isn't

TheSpottedZebra · 08/09/2019 11:06

Do you cook much? Bake?

Have you a good knife -ie one that suits you, not necessarily £££ ?

BlackberriesAndCream · 08/09/2019 11:08

oh no Window Vacs there.

I have chopping boards.

Fridge storage things might be an idea, was thinking of getting reusable coverings instead of plastic wrap, so they might have that sort of thing.

There's so little ktichen space here - and I live alone so don't create loads of ktichen mess - so I can't be tempted to buy random extra gadgets.

A herb chopper maybe, or a mortar and pestle, don't have either of those, but not sure if they fall into the random gadgets category, as I can't think of the last time I actually wanted a mortar and pestle! I chop herbs sometimes though.

Lots of cleaning products available but it seems so boring.

Six packets of the liquorice, totally awesome.

BlackberriesAndCream · 08/09/2019 11:16

oh a freezable wine cooler/carrier, might be useful.

no picnic blankets, which is something else I just thought might be useful.

Had forgot they did sweets and cookbooks and stuff like that..

think I'll have to have a browse

Silcone pan scrapers. Like having a super efficient fingernail to get stuck bits off pans.

BlackberriesAndCream · 08/09/2019 11:38

that's a good idea too.
And also mini silicon spoons/spatulas for cleaning out yoghurt pots etc

ChicCroissant · 08/09/2019 11:55

I saw the title of this thread and came on to suggest the liquorice, and I'm not the first I see. It's on the list of things my DD can eat again when her brace comes off and she's mentioned it this weekend.

Grambler · 08/09/2019 12:24

Microwave rice cooker
Jar spatula
Lint roller
Rotary cheese grater
Biscuits

Grambler · 08/09/2019 12:25

They used to do one use plastic sticky pads - sticky mitts I think they were called, for getting fluff off.

Starisnotanumber · 08/09/2019 13:08

Christmas is not far off do you have to buy a present for anyone who bakes or would like something from lakeland. The gift card could save you money there

BlackberriesAndCream · 08/09/2019 14:25

thanks for the ideas - will add them to the list and hopefully go browse tomorrow.

Yes I had thought about using it for some Christmas presents, little things for stockings perhaps would be a good idea too.

Their oven cleaner is fantastic .
If you make your own stock/ gravy they sell the Oxo gravy/ fat separator , it's really good !
