So reluctant to come out for the day Confused

We eventually left the house not long before 12 noon!!!!! & had a lovely afternoon out.

We've played on the park, wandered round a museum (and paid attention!), had snow cones and sweets Shock, all three of us are sporting henna tattoos, got a few free pens, watched some of the fairground rides (but I didn't want to leave dd2 stood with my bag so didn't go on any this time).

We shared a tray of chips on the way to the bus stop, and have just had sausage sarnys (and wine for me).

So, why did it take so long to get her out of her pit & sorted to leave the house!? Hmm

Probably lots of things:

Age
Hormones/puberty

Could be just sheer tiredness after the first week back at school.

Puberty. Their little brains are being literally rewired, and they don't think like humans any more - for the next five years or so.

It’s just normal teen behaviour. Weren’t we all like that for a while at least??

mineofuselessinformation · 07/09/2019 20:22

OP, you're supposed to revel in it as payback for when they had you up at the crack of dawn! Grin

eladen · 07/09/2019 20:24

Because she's a normal 13 year old whose brain and body function differently to children and adults?

RoseMartha · 07/09/2019 20:28

Pretty normal tbh, if we get out before ten on non school day it is good going.

My Dd needs to just stare in trance at self in mirror for at least 20 minutes daily!!!!

When I was a teenager, it was the uncoolest thing ever to be seen out with your family. I think it's sad really, as I missed out on some good days out because I didn't want to be seen. I grew out of that as soon as I left high school, and I think most kids do.
