What counts as childcare for tax credit purposes?

Our school run a breakfast club £3 per child, so £30 a week for my 2 DC to go everyday.

They don’t have any after school care except after school clubs which are run by an outside agency (premier sports).

Are either of these claimable for childcare purposes? Single mother working full time

We had to provide the details of our DS nursery and their registration number - if the breakfast club have a number, could be they qualify you for tax credit.

i'm pretty sure everything has to be ofsted registered. So ofsted registered breakfast club at school = yes claim tax credits, Slipping Gran £30 to do the school drop off= don't claim tax credits.

As long as ofsted registered - fine

It HAS to be ofsted registered

I'm pretty sure the sports club wouldn't be eligible as they aren't childcare really. My hunch is that breakfast club would be as it's wrap around childcare provided by an Ofsted registered institution.

If after school
And ofsted registered
Then it is

My son’s after school football club is ofsted registered and accepted for tax credits purposes
