Things you wish you’d taken on holiday with you?

Just back from SC holiday in Croatia and don’t know what possessed me to leave my hair straighteners at home - I should know by now that the sea air is good for my soul but plays havoc with my hair!
Also more loose, easy to wash short summer dresses. I am not a shorts person (didn’t take any with me!) but ended up wearing my 2 dresses more than my skirts as cooler.

What do you wish you’d taken with you?

@Graphista - I use this one. Affordable and does the job.

We were self catering in a caravan in Italy and forgot to bring small pot of salt and pepper. Annoying to buy new each time! Also added tea towels to my list. I do always take a UK extension lead as has been mentioned already.

Possibly less relevant to others - Lego for ds and large pad of paper for dd. Even a Tesco Extra in a rural area had no plain paper nor advanced Lego.

I have an ongoing list in my phone. I update it on the plane home every year. Helps that we've been to the same apartments 4 years running though.

Sudocrem. I forget it every single time. And buy a new tub every single time I am away. Even though my children are (mid and late) teenagers there are always scrapes, grazes, bites, stings and chafing. And that's just me.

Proper slippers and cosy pjs, every damn time.

Forgot two packs of playing cards which are useful for evenings. We used to take a small pound shop paddling pool for baby/ toddler to play in next to the sun lounger.

jackparlabane from last year's list I remembered to take a box of toys (playmobil and duplo/lego) for ds2 (4).
