Decluttering clothes and stuff. It's so bloody overwhelming.

I'm off work today and was determined to declutter some more clothes.

My biggest problem is I like a lot of them. But I know I don't really wear them enough to warrant keeping them all. Especially dresses.

I made one step to being organised today. I bought a jewellery organiser that hangs in the wardrobe. When that arrives I'll sort my jewellery. And get rid of some.

I have some dresses I'll only wear on a cruise so I'm going to force myself to pack them away until next year.

Maybe I should make a tick list?

I did Marie Kondo. Her series is on Netflix. You can also watch short clips on YouTube. You put all the clothes you own in one place in a huge pile. You pick up each item to see if it sparks joy in you. You keep only the ones you love. I also kept ones that were practical. Anything I hadn’t worn for years I got rid of. Recycled them or charity shop.

I have seen one or two of the programmes. I'll have another watch. I need to get tough.

I am waist high in piles of clothes as I try and sort out my dd's clothes and underwear....my god it is like the seventh level of hell but with more pants and crop tops.

Kondo is really good for this. Never mind the woo-bits, just the pile everything up and work through it is an absolute cracker for giving you perspective.

If you’ve got a kindle her book is usually quite cheap and well worth a read.

Vacuum storage bags are good for things that you want to keep but wouldn't wear often, to free up space. I use them for storing summer/winter stuff on top of the wardrobe when not in use too. And my overabundance of yarns for knitting and crochet all get vacuum bagged now too.

not worn in a year= get rid
dont fit in to, too big too small= get rid
any holes/ perm stains = get rid!

:)

I'm going to sell more expensive things on fb selling page. I've sold a couple of things on there before. That's one of the things I find difficult. Getting rid of decent stuff.
