Do you wear a burkini or swim leggings?

How do you get the sand out?

I've only used my swim leggings and rash vest in pools and lakes/rivers before. I'm now on a beach holiday, and my leggings are constantly full of sand. I wash and rinse, I leave them to dry and give them a good shake, they seem sand-free. But the next time I wear them - there's sand in them! I think the sand gets stuck in the weave.

The rash vest doesn't seem to have this problem, only the leggings.

Any suggestions?

I love the Malak leggings, the colours are gorgeous. But the tops are too low-cut for me - I need higher coverage.

The leggings are a far denser fabric than the rash vest. This may well be the problem.

I'm in a good wifi zone, so I'll try uploading again:

I have a coral dive suit (very similar to a burkini though no hood) and I soak in water in a tub and turn inside out too. I burn really easily and get so cold in warm waters (have a thick wetsuit for British waters)

We give the DC’s rash vests a good hoover before washing them as we found they were collecting sand that the washing machine just couldn’t budge.

It never occurred to me to hoover it! Genius!

stucknoue, is your coral suit a two-piece?

Who takes a hoover on a beach holiday? Confused Grin

We're in an AirBnB, so there is one. Not that I had had any intention of using it! But I'll try it. (Tomorrow. Well, maybe. I dunno...hoovering on holiday...?)

I tend to stay in villas or Airbnbs rather than hotels, so there are often hoovers knocking around.

I don't like the look of them, but there are some shiny looking leggings that might have a tighter weave. Maybe they would work better?
