If you don't mind buying new bottles... then MAM are definitely best for colic. Also it might be worth trying a different formula as they may have a dairy intolerance. Keep them upright for half an hour after feeding and make sure you wind them really well after each feed.

We had the same issue with Dr Brown bottles DD just couldn't seem to feed from them changed to Mam and other than when we needed to go up a teat size no issues.

Ask your HV about colief.
You put it into bottles before feeding and it breaks down the lactose.Infacol done nothing for my 2 boys and we had 4 months of colic crying before I found this miracle .
Also when you have mixed milk, by shaking, let the air settle in bottles for ten mins first.
Dr browns bottles were brilliant too.hth.

Have a read of this - dispels the myth about feeding and colic. Hope it helps. Don't forget babies are designed to feed little and often - it's tough especially with twins - but all normal.

MAM bottles are far superior to dr browns.
The difference was instant for my lo; went from 3oz in an hour to 3oz in 20 minutes!!

Twinmumlr · 30/08/2019 03:23

Bought some mam bottles but they came with no2 teats, it just spilt all over their faces. Does this mean it's too fast for them? 😫

Hey OP, have you investigated tongue tie? It is most often associated with breastfed babies, but it can make milk transfer from a bottle tricky too.

Softer latex teats can be easier for babies to get a latch onto rather than the shiny silicone.

Whyismycatanasshat · 30/08/2019 09:31

Yes, you’ll need size 1 or 0 tests. My just 7 month old is only just moving off of size 2; they’re still quite fast for size 2!
Boots usually have size 1

I used Dr brown's bottles for both my children. I did find the size 1 teats that came with the bottles were much too slow for them. I changed to size 2 after about 4 weeks and on to size 3 a few months later.

My SIL found the same, had to move up sizes much earlier than expected.

Other than that, I would highly recommend the bottles.
