Any thoughts? I had something once which seemed to give the coffee a slightly chocolatey taste, which was gorgeous. Can't remember what it was though.

Following, great idea for a thread OP as I was in the supermarket the other week and was overwhelmed by the choice.

Oatly Barista here too. So creamy and delicious in both coffee and tea, and hot chocolate and also on cereal! Froths up really beautifully. Would never go back to cows milk.

A lot of non dairy 'milk' is sweet. Bleugh. Alpro wholebean unsweetened soy is my choice.

Hazelnut or tiger nut have the best flavour with coffee

theneverendinglaundry · 29/08/2019 19:31

Oatly whole in this house!

QueenOfCatan · 29/08/2019 20:07

Oatly Barista. Every time. Its best in porridge too for a real creamy taste.

RebeccaRae · 29/08/2019 20:08

I like coconut milk myself. Oatly is lovely piping hot bit the texture gets a bit iffy if it cools.

Span1elsRock · 29/08/2019 20:13

I drink unsweetened soya most of the time, but it's rank in coffee so I buy Oatly Barista just for coffee. Just be warned though it's high in natural sugar and has added rapeseed oil, so is around double the calories of unsweetened soya. There is a reason why it tastes so nice!! It froths well and holds its shape in a milk frother. Like PPs I find it too much in tea.

itsbetterthanabox · 29/08/2019 20:15

Oat Milk or coconut milk

Mother87 · 29/08/2019 20:16

banivani · 29/08/2019 20:16

Oatly barista or Alpro barista foamable soy milk.

Bezalelle · 29/08/2019 20:17

I am partial to almond milk for tea and cashew milk for coffee. Unsweetened soya works for both.

NannyR · 29/08/2019 20:24

I love the oatly semi chilled as a cold drink or with cereal but I haven't found a non-dairy milk that works well in coffee. I've just started drinking it black. Personally I don't like the barista at all, I find it tastes a bit greasy to me.
The one exception is hazelnut milk which tastes delicious in coffee, it's nice as a treat but too sweet for me for everyday coffee.

TooLateToDrinkCoffee · 29/08/2019 20:42

Oatly barrista. As a bonus oat milk is the best option for the environment.

wowfudge · 29/08/2019 21:07

I have a latte made with almond milk every morning. Ordinary milk tastes very sweet in comparison. I don't like almond milk in tea though - it looks awful as much as anything!

BigChocFrenzy · 29/08/2019 21:16

Cashew milk
Delic in porridge too
