Breakfast/brunch at Alabama’s
Football museum and the gallery are free. I think the museum of science and industry may still be? Also John rylands library
Potter round some of the vintage shops in Manchester
More food at this n that or Evuna.

That should say vintage shops in the northern quarter

Police museum have free open days on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Whitworth always has free stuff going on too. I'm sure I saw the MOSI have a display of retro arcade games. I don't know what's appealing to that age though! Hopefully someone else will know more.

mightybuzz · 26/08/2019 20:33

Football museum is no longer free! MOSI is. At that age they might enjoy Afflecks Palace - and Black Milk for a dessert

lastqueenofscotland · 26/08/2019 20:34

What since when?!?
Yes another vote for afflecks. I still think it’s cool now and I’m well old

NCTDN · 26/08/2019 20:34

What's at Affldcks Palace these days?

Rudy’s on Peter Street for amazing pizzas.

proudmudda · 26/08/2019 22:28

My teens love Albert Schloss 😁

Proper Tea by the cathedral or Teacup on Thomas street are lovely cafes if they like tea and cake. Bird & Blend opposite Afflecks is good for interesting drinks and they have a lot of free samples! Black Milk is a cafe inside Afflecks (please go to Afflecks, my teens love it there).
People's History Museum is free,
Central Library will have stuff on for families
MOSI
Vintage shopping in the Northern Quarter
Art Gallery
Printworks

Aflecks is great providing you don't have any mobility problems ( it's over 3 or 4 floors ) the mosi and air and space are great and free..
Lots of places to eat in China town and the northern quarter, Manchester arndale has 2 food courts one near boots on market st - kfc, McDs, subway, taco bell ( I think) and more the o the one is in the market , small independent places pizza , Indian Korean, Greek, and even a tiny micro brew bar .
Both get crowded at luchtime

Rock Over Climbing near Victoria station is a great climbing and bouldering place.
