phileas foggs world of adventures is meant to be good. have you had a look round the lanes?

LIZS · 25/08/2019 21:20

Volks railway and Black Rock minigolf

Theyellowsquare · 25/08/2019 21:22

Phileas Fogg hands down. Your kids are the perfect age. You also feel quite smug after as it's educational and bond building too 😇. They do Horrible Mysteries there as well now but I haven't tried it so can't comment if it's as good.

Royal pavilion is well worth a visit, it's just amazing.

I might be biased, I got married there😎

Bus to beachy head if you are happy to do a bit of walking. It is amazing in the sunshine.

youngestisapsycho · 25/08/2019 21:44

Have you been on the BA i360?

Camomila · 25/08/2019 22:11

The mini steam railway is having an open day in Hove Park tomorrow - 10 and 13 might be a bit too cool for it though!

If you fancy a beach day Shoreham is nicer than Brighton proper.

Phileas fogg looks fabulous! I’ve never heard of this place, thank you! Will be a definite on our things to do Grin
Yes we’ve been up and down and through the lanes, love Brighton so much and my brother moved there just over a year ago so we’re staying with him and his partner so will do phileas fogg with them I expect but have 2 days to entertain ourselves alone whilst they’re both working.
Black rock looks lovely! Could visit there and incorporate some geocaching along the way Grin
I love the pavilion also, very beautiful! And what a place to get married! But will save the pavilion until we visit y brother at Christmas so we can go ice skating whilst there [santa]
Beach head looks... beautiful! Shock we love a walk and the cliffs look amazing, definitely one for the list! Is it easier to get to via bus or train? We have a family and friends railcard so ideally prefer to travel by train.
We’ve not been on the tower, is it any good and worth the money?
Thank you all for the suggestions, they’re very appreciated Smile

Go to the marina and they have glo balls.. like adventure golf but with a twist.

StCharlotte · 25/08/2019 23:29

Beachy Head is not accessible by train. Bus only.

But surely in this weather you should be on the beach?!

StCharlotte · 25/08/2019 23:33

And there's this but you may need to book www.upsidedownhouse.co.uk/

Phycadelicsilhouette · 26/08/2019 13:17

That looks like a place we went to called mr mulligans in Cheltenham @Hadenoughofitall441, didn’t know that was there, thank you! One to keep in mind for the winter months when visiting I think Smile
@StCharlotte thank you, I had a look online and found the bus we’ll need, very reasonably priced and will take picnic food so it’s a definite for our time there.
Yes we love the beach but live close to the beach and have spent a fair bit of time there already this summer.
And also the beaches on the Isle of Wight which are beautiful!
Thank you for the upside down house link. Looks fantastic and I’ve never been there myself but my brother took my boys there a couple of months back so it wouldn’t be something id want to spend on again so soon.

Getting on the train and leaving Brighton ASAP is what I'd be doing Grin

Phycadelicsilhouette · 26/08/2019 14:45
