Where do you buy your pre teens clothes?

My DD is 11 and quite broad in the back so I need to get her a winter wardrobe age 12+ really....discovered recently on the high street that age 12+ clothes are not included in many shops, and where they were, the clothes were pretty 'tarty/cheap' looking (maybe this is just the fashion for teenage girls at the moment?) with very limited choice.

Could anyone guide me to a store (online is fine) that has a decent tasteful range of teen/pre teen clothes?

TIA

We do occasionally visit Primark, but she isn’t really a fan, her sister on the other hand (8) adores it.

Depends on her height and size really.
Agree with H&M and New Look 9-15.
Tesco F&F, go up to kids' 13-14 and going by my local stores have some cute stuff in that size. And maybe some womens' size 6/ 8.
M&S, some gorgeous stuff that's cool but not overly adult, up to age 15-16 (larger than their size 8 adult women imo).
TKMaxx, try both kids' and womens' - can get some very cool stuff super cheap if you're lucky.

Dd loves Zara kids ( up to size 13-14 ) and River Island kids ( up to 11-12 but really big fit ) and New Look 915 is great too.

She like Sketchers trainers. Declined Nike as too many other kids wear them.

How refreshing! An individual!!!!

She is. It's rather nice. Confident in her own tastes. She has an older sister who is similar and she's been a great role model.

I'm noticing a lot of shops except for H&M, New Look and M&S stop at 11-12. My DD is 9 but needs 11-12 or 12-13 and am starting to find it a bit hard to find age appropriate stuff! She doesn't like Zara.....

Zoflorabore · 02/09/2019 21:38

Vino have you tried River Island? They go up to 11-12 but are really generously sized.
My dd is 8 nearly 9 and tall and sturdy and the clothes all fit brilliant.

11-12 in a supermarket wouldn't go near her.

Vinorosso74 · 02/09/2019 22:05

We couldn't find anything in there last time but will look again.

H&M or Primark. I usually buy ladies size 6 or xxs in leggings as my DD is quite tall with very long legs but she has a narrow waist.

If I buy kids clothes for her I buy age 13 (she's 11) but often the proportions are wrong.

dad loves peacocks, tesco, sainsbury's, matalan and primark. She's very tall but very slim so everything looks good, and fits well. I think when she gets shape some of the clothes may look very different

C0untDucku1a · 02/09/2019 22:46

H&M. New look and dd loves matalan Atm. Dd loves all things combat print

ILikeyourHairyHands · 02/09/2019 22:48

I get all DD's from John Lewis, they have various smaller brands that it's difficult to find elsewhere, nothing tacky or cropped, we can always find something DD likes even though she's very fussy.

Yubaba · 02/09/2019 23:03

DD is 12 nearly 13 and most of her clothes are from H&M, Gap, Primark and Next. She has a few bits from New Look too, but I’m not as keen on their range.
Her ‘look’ is mainly black leggings, t-shirts and a hoodie.
