How much would you pay for MFL tutoring?

To make some extra ££ while on ML I'm thinking of doing some private tutoring. I'm a native Spanish speaker with advanced knowledge in French. Have a degree in linguistics/translation as well as another one in journalism. Thinking of GCSEs and A Levels for the former and just GCSEs for the latter. I currently teach someone over Skype but at £12.50 ph I think that's too little.

It's between £25 & £30/hr here.

Do you use a tutor Clayhead? If so how did you find her/him?

£25 ph for a native speaker with a good track record. Face to face but occasional Skype (same fee).

The going rate where I live is usually £30 per hour.

I tutor in another subject and charge £25 per hour. If tutoring for GCSE and A level it's a good idea to take a look at the specifications so you know what they need to know

My friend does - weirdly from a sign up in the local butchers!

£25- £30 an hour

£30 an hour is the going rate around here.

Not language tuition, but DS1 had a tutor for maths GCSE which we paid £22an hour for face to face, then A-level maths £38 online via Skype.

Pero no olvida! It can be very seasonal, so in the run up to the exams is when you may be very busy. Parents tend to start looking nearer Christmas, I find.

Thank you for all the advice! It's something that I'd only do a couple of days a week. The area where we live is not the richest but I think I'd be able to get £20ph.

The only downside is the driving around.
