Sorry, boring thread alert...
We currently have BT. Apparently we have to keep this because BT Sport is the only channel to show the Champions League football matches. But it doesn’t show the weekly Premier League matches, apparently I need Sky for that.
How can I get Sky in addition to BT and what’s the cheapest way to do this?
Any advice appreciated- I am clueless when it comes to sport!

It will cost a small fortune!
Can you not stream the games via the internet? That's what I do, every game for free Wink

@badfurday - Oooh how do I do that?

To get both you'd need Sky or Virgin. If you're out of contract with BT for broadband you'll be better to contact them and see what price they can offer as a bundle for everything.

It's illegal to stream the games online without a subscription. Not to say I wouldn't do it myself, but just making you aware.

You can sign up to Now TV and get a season ticket to all the Sky sports channels. It's a one off payment of £199, and runs for 10 months. You can cancel at any time. If you don't cancel, it'll go up to £33.99 a month after the 10 months is up.

You'd need BT and Sky for both. We have both, I think BT were doing a deal so it didn't add too much a month. Alternatively if he likes to watch a specific team, you can often pay them to be able to stream their matches, which is usually a fairly cheap monthly payment depending on the team.

You can stream illegally as a PP says, but it's got a lot more complicated recently, and depending on your technical skills and your ISP, they may not be happy. Also always check the content of the stream before you put it on the TV! There's a "thing" st the moment of people trying to "hide" porn as football Confused

We have BT sports too. Ours is a football loving household!Grin

Thanks all, I’ll have a look at all these options. Looks like I’m doomed to have a ‘green’ tv screen for the foreseeable future 😩

I've been doing some research on this too. The only thing about now tv is that you can record and replay so you have to watch live only which is a big disadvantage for us.

winterisstillcoming · 21/08/2019 15:42

Sorry you can't record and replay, or catch up

You might also want to get Amazon Prime in December as there will be 20 prem matches on. I think you can get a month for 7.99.

I have this wonderful app on my phone called Mobdro. You access it via Google rather then the app store. It essentially is every single sky/bt or foreign channel that you could ever think of. I watch all of my football games via the app and mirror my screen to the tv. It's completely free.

You can stream matches for free on your phone, iPad or computer - just Google it!
