Panicking job offer will be withdrawn

Hi, I am looking for reassurances it any similar experiences?
I have been offered a job I really want. It is conditional on checks, one of them being fitness to practice. I filled in the health screening questionnaire and they have said I need a phone consult with a clinician to see if I am fit to do the job. On the form it asked for prior illness. I had 3 weeks off with a broken wrist in 2015 and 4 weeks with PND after my mat leave in 2016.
Are they going to withdraw the job offer based on this? I feel sick 😞

I have no experience of this but I’d think it would be fine. Both illnesses were a few years ago and you weren’t off for that long with either. People get ill, no one can help it. I think you’ll be ok.

FTP checks and health checks are different.
Sounds like you are just being asked for a health check. Neither of those 2 absences sound like grounds to withdraw a job offer. They are both a while ago. I had a health interview because I had 6 weeks off with broken ankle as the result of an accident 4 months before I started a new HCP job. No problem at all.

I hope you’re right. Thanks. The consultation isn’t until next week, I’m going to be stressed until then!

I wouldn't worry.

I recently went through the same because I had time off work with anxiety a couple of months ago. They just wanted to make sure I was OK now to work. They asked a few questions and I was declared fit.

I think it is just standard practice if you put yes to any of the questions.

I had to speak to a nurse when I filled in a health screening to work nights because I ticked yes to having digestive issues. It's really nothing to get worked up about.

My above post made no sense so I will try again. I was off work with anxiety recently. I applied for an additional job not long after that and the nurse needed to speak to me about my anxiety. It really wasn't an issue. I explained the circumstances around it and they were lovely.

I had exact same thing. On form I said I'd had pnd from 2015 and still on medication for it.
They asked me to have over the phone consultation with a nurse but it was fine. Literally call was about 2 minutes! She said no problems and declared me fit.
Try not to worry Smile
