I have nothing in the house and I need to cook up something to eat. Can you suggest something please!

I have an egg, a bit of cheese and bits and bobs in the cupboards but no meat or fish.

I know it's a bit vague but I really hate cooking and can't think of anything!

Pasta, tin of chopped tomatoes and whatever herbs and spices you've got, with grated cheese?

Sunseed · 18/08/2019 19:03

Any pasta? Tin of tomatoes? Tin of tuna?

callthephone · 18/08/2019 19:03

I don't have pasta!

Pastryless quiches, chop up any bits & bobs of veg, fry until soft & then either put them all in a large ovenproof shallow dish or divide between muffin cases, whisk the eggs with a bit of milk, add salt, pepper & either herbs or seasoning, grate all the cheese, put half the cheese in with the veg, pour over the egg mixture & then sprinkle the rest of the cheese over the top, cook in the oven until set & golden brown. Can be eaten hot or cold & suitable for freezing.

Fritters.
Egg, 2 tbsp flour (SR or add some baking powder) and lots of bits and bobs plus cheese (optional), lots of seasoning, fry. Use an ice-cream scoop to measure ot perfect size fritters.
Bits and bobs could be frozen veg (just plonk them in a mug and add water from the kettle, wait 2 mins and drain), tinned stuff or left overs (curry works well).

French toast if you have any bread.

I think we need to know more about the bits and bobs!

Anything on here? cookingonabootstrap.com

I'd have a "picky tea" just boil the egg, wee what I can gather from freezer to make in oven, maybe some rice, peas etc.
