Anyone else have a rubbish night

DS kindly woke up at 4am, played in his cot and then cried.

Managed to get him back to sleep on me but couldn't get him back in the cot. He woke up crying every time I tried.

He's now zooming around laughing and I feel awful.

Felt like he's 6months not 2! I'm also 33weeks pregnant so trying to sleep squished in a chair with a lump on me has not been kind to my back.

Anyone else feeling grim this morning

Yes. I fell asleep around midnight and woke at 3:14. Fell asleep again sometime after 5 for DH to wake me at 545 when he left for work.

HopHoppityHop · 16/08/2019 07:30

Maybe he'll sleep later? Or you culturally expose him to other accents and ideas than your own and doze whilst he watches tv?

MrsMozartMkII · 16/08/2019 07:30

Yuck. I feel for you.

Dogs barked at ten to five. And at twenty past five. I get up at six. I was sad.

Admittedly I've said fuck it and gone back to bed.

Every night is a bad night. Couldn’t get to sleep, finally dropped off at around 1am. DS (7 months) woke at 1.45am, got him back to sleep at 3am. 5 year old came running in after a bad dream at 3.50am. DS up again at 4.30am. Settled him, then he got up for the day at 5.50am. 5 and 4 year olds up at 6.30am.

I’ll definitely join you.

DD woke at 11 for an hour and I couldn’t get back to sleep. Was just dozing when my DS woke me up at 2.30 as he had wet the bed. Finally dropped off to be woken again at 4.30 by DD. She went back and is currently sleeping but my DS woke early as he’s suddenly decided he doesn’t like the dark. He has a nightlight next to his bed. It’s going to be a long day!

Me! I had under 6 hours sleep and today is my first day alone with 3 year old and 4 week old. 4 week old had really bad wind and the 12 o’clock feed turned into 2 hours of her really crying and being on off the boob every two minutes. The only way I got any sleep was by cosleeping which meant those x3 lots of 2 hours sleep were not very deep.

DartmoorDoughnut · 16/08/2019 07:42

Me! My almost 5yr old had bad dreams and hardly slept allllll night, I am a zombie, he is full of beans Hmm

Marinetta · 16/08/2019 07:44

Son woke up every hour and a half for the whole night. Couldn't get him to sleep on his own so he slept on my chest from midnight which meant a very uncomfortable night for me with very little sleep.

Lacey405 · 16/08/2019 07:44

Me ! Woken up x3 by the 1 year old and x1 by the 6YO. Mainlining coffee. Nice knowing others in the same boat ☕️

Oh no lots of bad nights!
Luckily DS has nursery today but I've got to work this morning.

Unfortunately after my two hours of (broken) sleep I’ve got my 5 year old, 4 year old and 7 month old to look after. First stop school shoe shopping, followed by taking my grandmother to the solicitors (all three children in tow) to deal with my grandfathers will/probate.
Fun!

Me as well! Stomach bug which isn't allowing me unbroken or much sleep. It's day 3 and starting to get a bit better now though.

Hope everyone can get a cup of tea/quick catnap at some point

peridito · 16/08/2019 08:57

My teenager is up all night as it is the holidays. He went to the loo at 3 am. It woke me up. Not been back to sleep since. It’s now 3pm. And I’m tired and falling to sleep
