Accepting offers after GCSE results

Can we accept more than one offer? What happens if we accept one and then get another offer from a school we prefer... can we then accept that one?

Schools will bite your hand off for A level places. The funding for 6th form is significantly higher. It's perfectly normal for pupils to chop and change even during the first week.

Private or State?
Do you not have offers based on the results anyway so you'll know where or not your DC has qualified for?

All state options. Some competitive grammars. All conditional offers based on achieving predicted grades. But not entirely sure which is first choice. Can we only accept one offer or do we accept several and then choose which one to actually show up for?

I don't know, hopefully someone else will.

But you aren't going to get any more info after GCSE results day before starting on which to base a decision, are you?
Didn't the DC in question do taster days in July?

So I'd say once results are in just make a decision and stick with it.

We might. We have to call with actual grades. And then they reorder the waiting list. Don't know how long it will take them to get back to us (or not) with an offer.

I think our plan is to accept multiple offers on the day. One of the schools recommended this approach. It seems a bit unethical though as we will be holding a spaced we aren't in the end going to take.
